Several schools in state capital to start virtual classes from today

-

LUCKNOW:Several schools in Lucknow will start virtual classes from Wednesday (July 1) as the educational institutions are not allowed to begin regular classes due to Covid -19.

President of City Montessori School, Lucknow, Gita Kingdon said, “Our virtual classes will begin for 56,000 students from Wednesday. Virtual teaching will be from Montessori level to Class 12 just like the time when the schools were closed in March.”

“We have already sent timetables to students. Both our teachers and students are eagerly looking forward to resume virtual teaching from Wednesday,” she said. St Teresa’s Day School, Ashiyana will also start virtual classes from Wednesday. “The duration will be of 2 hours and 15 minutes. There will be four periods of half an hour each and 15 minutes break in between. It becomes strenuous for students to study online for long so we kept it for short duration,” said Geetika Kapoor, principal.

Modern School will start virtual classes from July 2. La Martiniere Girls’ College, however, will start virtual classes from July 6. “We at La Martiniere Girls’ College are committed to providing the best for our girls. You will be happy to know that we have prepared for a unique online educational experience,” reads the LMGC principal’s Facebook post.

On the other hand, a few schools like Study Hall have started online classes for their senior students. For the rest of the students, online classes would start from next week, said CEO of the school, Urvashi Sahni.
