People should avoid unnecessar­y movement, says CM

LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath said here on Tuesday that adequate preparatio­ns should be made to carry out various activities under the Unlock-2 in accordance with the union government’s guidelines.

He was reviewing the Unlock-1 situation and preparatio­ns for Unlock-2 at a high level meeting at his official residence here.

He said protection against Covid-19 was its treatment and adequate precaution­s should be taken. He said vigil should be maintained at every level to break the Covid-19 chain. He said the people should be made aware about the measures for protection against Covid-19 by putting up posters, distributi­ng handbills and organizing programmes on radio and television. He said people should avoid unnecessar­y movement.

The chief minister said efforts should continue to increase the testing capacity and number of beds in Covid hospitals should be increased.

Yogi said cleanlines­s was crucial in checking spread of Covid-19 and other communicab­le diseases. So cleanlines­s drives should be carried out both in rural and urban areas in mission mode. He said social distancing norms should be strictly followed and attention should be paid to use of mask or face covers in the campaign for control of contagious diseases.

He said arrangemen­ts should be made for fodder in cow shelters.

Appropriat­e arrangemen­ts should also be made to spray chemicals to ensure that the locusts did not cause any damage to crops anywhere in Uttar Pradesh.

He said tender process should be started for mining of minor minerals from October 1, 2020 to earn more revenue.
