None of us know what future beholds for us

- ABUL HASAN Professional, Lucknow

The phase two of Unlock has commenced but the situation remains all grim. Still medicos around the world are struggling to control the virus and the people are still coping with unlock and lockdowns happening around the globe.

I feel since the first lockdown happened I have become a changed person. My perspective towards life has changed in many ways, before lockdown I was a materialistic kind but now I have started to value the concept of simple living high thinking.

As I am a government employee and my department comes in essential services so I was on duty. My days during the lockdown were all about work and going to work. The driving on the empty roads that were once all busy was totally a new practice for me, no irritating horns and human visibility till miles was an eerie feeling. It felt as if the entire civilisation which once resided has shifted to any other planet, it was a scary experience. Everything has two different sides and this I witnessed something that had never happened before.

But seeing migrants on road was a sad sight. Travelling miles in scorching heat without sleep, the migrant exoduses made us witness something that was very disturbing and will remain etched in our minds. It takes a fraction of second and your all plans your all assets become zero such is time. Lockdown has taught me a lot of things now I thank God more instead of complaining. Now I don’t spoil my present to make my future better or secured; now I don’t complain for anything to anyone now I always try to spread happiness in the present instead of planning big for future. As none of us know nor will ever know what future beholds for us.
