Bolster health services in Ghaziabad, NCR: CM
LUCKNOW: Reviewing the Unlock-2 situation in the state, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said the feedback and suggestions from the nodal officers sent to the districts should be acted upon.
“Take feedback from the nodal officers on both the Covid and non-Covid hospitals and suggestions on Covid containment must be acted upon,” said Yogi. The chief minister also asked for further strengthening of health services in Ghaziabad and associated arrangements for Covid containment in the NCR (national capital region) districts and asked the health and the medical education departments’ teams to camp in Ghaziabad.
“Surveillance teams all over the state have a vital role to play in infection containment as well as bringing the death rate down in cases of Covid infection. Surveillance team should work towards sending infected persons to a hospital in an early stage to save lives. Also, increase the number of surveillance teams in Ghaziabad and Baghpat districts,” Yogi said.
The chief minister emphasised on further ramp up in number of rapid antigen tests for quicker test results.
“It is important to stay alert at all levels and all the time to contain and control the spread of the virus. So the various activities under Unlock-2 must have proper adherence to safety and social distancing protocols. The police should maintain patrolling and people must follow one-metre physical distance, wear masks and use sanitizers. No public gathering should be allowed.
In the containment zones, the administration must ensure smooth supply of essential items so that the people there should not face any problems.
Yogi Adityanath asked the respective district administrations to conduct the food grains distribution drive beginning from Sunday. There should not any under-weighing or any other irregularity in the food grain distribution.
Among those who attended the meeting were the state medical health minister, Suresh Khanna; minister of state for health, Atul Garg; chief secretary RK Tiwari; Infrastructure and Industrial Development commissioner Alok Tandon; and additional chief secretary (home) Awanish Kumar Awasthi.
