Prayagraj region performance dismal; ranks 15th in 16 regions
LUCKNOW: While a Lucknow girl, Divyanshi Jain, scored 100% marks in CBSE Class 12 examination, the performance of Prayagraj region students, comprising of some 55 districts of Uttar Pradesh, remained way behind students of other region.
Of the 16 regions, Prayagraj stood at 15th position with 82.49% pass percentage just above Patna region which was last in the list with 74.57% students passing the exam. Noida is a separate region comprising of NCR districts.
Pan India, a total of 88.78% students managed to clear the CBSE class 12 examination.
Trivandrum region was on top with 97.67%, Bengaluru was second with 97.05%, Chennai was placed third with 96.17%, Delhi West and East were placed at fourth and fifth spot with 94.61% and 94.24% respectively.
Panchkula region was placed sixth with 92.52%, Chandigarh stood seventh at 92.04%, followed by Bhuvaneshwar 91.46%, Bhopal 90.95, Pune 90.24%, Ajmer 87.6%, Noida was placed 12th at 84.87%, Guwhahati was next with 83.37% and Dehradun 83.22%.
Students of Prayagraj region were placed at the 15th position with 82.49% students passing the examination and Patna was in the bottom of the table with 74.57% students who passed the exam.
