It’s not the time for heroism!

- DILPREET SINGH HORA Student, Lucknow

From lockdown we are now in Unlock 2.0 phase but the growing cases have put us back to weekend restriction stage! After the unlock mode started, it brought happiness to us as the markets opened and we were able to move out of home but it brought with itself the fear of getting infected by the virus.

Now, it’s time how we manage ourselves from hereon. Masks, sanitizers and getting outside only when needed are the few things that will help us protect from the virus now. But I am shocked how people have started taking it lightly. I am not taking any risks its not the time for heroism!

When we recall of March 24, when our prime minister announced the lockdown, started the period of home quarantining ourselves so as to fight and win the battle against coronavirus.

Earlier, it was just a 21day period and hence, it came as more of a rest than anything else. No college meant, no studies for a few days! I was able to give more time to my family and played cards most of the time with them. Still there was a lot of time left and thus, I decided to pick up my old hobby of writing poems and one-liners. That helped me keep my mind fresh as well as away from the anxiety in the atmosphere of the virus. Sooner the lockdown kept on extending and it became more of a struggle staying at home.

I focused on my health. I started helping my mother with her household chores, sat with my dad and did some serious conversations with them. This period of lockdown actually brought me closer to my family as well as friends.
