Yogi orders STF probe into power supply disruption
LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday ordered a Special Task Force (STF) probe into the disruption of power supply to lakhs of consumers following suspected sabotage that suddenly stopped the functioning of smart meters in the state on Wednesday.
Yogi has asked for completion of the STF inquiry in three days and said strict action should be taken against those found responsible for the incident.
Reviewing the Unlock-3 situation here, Yogi directed the setting up of a dedicated Covid hospital at the Cancer Institute, Lucknow.
He reiterated his directions for increasing the number of beds in L-2 Covid hospitals in every district and gave specific directives to increase the beds in Covid hospitals in Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow and Varanasi.
Yogi laid emphasis on expediting contact tracing of Covid patients. He said contract tracing was helpful in checking spread of the disease and added that efforts should be made to get all the people in containment zone tested for Covid. He said the basic objective of setting up containment zones would be achieved only if all the people there were tested for the disease.
Yogi said regular communication should be maintained with
those in home isolation to know about their condition. He said the number of doctors in Covid hospitals should be increased to check spread of the disease.
The chief minister said availability of fertilizer should be increased in all the districts of state. He said arrangements should be made for distribution of compensation to farmers after getting a survey conducted about damage caused to crops by floods.
