Docs must get all facilities: Maya
LUCKNOW:: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday attacked the Uttar Pradesh government over the alleged intimidation of government doctors in Varanasi. She also hit out the state government over the fight between BJP MLA and the police personnel in Aligarh.
The BSP chief also attacked certain section of media over the installation of her statue at Prerna Kendra in Lucknow and its maintenance work. “The way certain media is highlighting the issue is wrong and they must change their casteist mentality,” she said.
In a series of the tweets, Mayawati said despite lack of facilities government doctors were risking their life by providing service to the corona patients, yet the doctors are being pressurized and intimidated, due to which 32 health centers in-charge tendered their resignation in Varanasi. “The state government should take services of the doctors without any discrimination and the doctors must get all the facilities in the hospitals, she said.
Hitting out at the state government Mayawati said, the condition of the corona health workers was pathetic in the government and private hospitals. “they are forced to commit suicide. The state government should formulate practical policies to run the health services,” she said.
Demanding high level probe into the fight between BJP lawmaker and police personnel in Aligarh, Mayawati said jungle raj prevailed in the state. “The incident is serious and worrying, it should be properly investigated and strict action should be taken against the guilty,” she said.
