Audit Covid deaths in all dists: CM

LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday asked chief secretary RK Tiwari to engage the Covid-19 nodal officers to audit the Covid deaths in all districts.

Turning the focus on the competitiv­e exams during corona times, he said that crowding must not be allowed at the competitiv­e and entrance exams.

“For this, establish exam centres in more and more districts. All these centres should follow the health department’s Covid-19 safety protocols.”

Reviewing the Covid-19 unlock at a meeting here, he asked the officers concerned to be extra alert in Lucknow and Kanpur City and reiterated that the state must do as many tests as possible to detect Covid-19 infection among the population.

“Keep a tab--through the CM Helpline--on the health status of the Covid-19 patients in home isolation,” he said.

Yogi also asked officers to work for utmost publicity and propagatio­n of the e-Sanjeevani service so that more and more patients may get medical consultati­on at home.

“At the same time, continue an intensive awareness campaign on Covid-19 because such awareness and precaution would help prevent spread of the disease till the vaccine comes,” he said.

He asked the officers concerned to ensure enough oxygen supply at the level-3 and level-3 Covid hospitals and increase ICU beds in hospitals.

Talking about floods, Yogi asked the additional chief secretary (revenue) that all needy in the flood affected areas must get relief material.

He told the principal secretary, animal husbandry to launch a 45-day vaccinatio­n campaign for animals.
