Now, LU to hold postponed PhD entrance test on August 29

LUCKNOW : Lucknow University (LU) has announced to hold entrance test for admissions to PhD programs for session 2019-20 on August 29. The exam could not take place in March this year due to Covid-19 outbreak and subsequent lockdown.

Moreover, while the entrance test for faculties of commerce and arts were held on March 16 and 17 respectively as scheduled but that of faculty of science scheduled for March 18 as well as of faculties of law, education and fine arts scheduled for March 19 could not be held due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

“The remaining tests of the four faculties of science, law, education and fine arts have now been rescheduled and will be held on August 29 in centres at Lucknow. All applicants will have to download their admit cards again from August 19. Detailed timing and allotted test centres will be printed on the admit cards. All candidates have to adhere to the safety protocols that are necessary during Covid pandemic,” said Durgesh Srivastava, spokesman for Lucknow University.

Meanwhile, admissions to UG and UG management programs will be done on the basis of marks obtained in class 12 examinations. The last date for uploading mark sheets and other documents for weightage, category or sub- category is August 20. All applicants of the above programs have to upload their documents on the counselling portal link of which is available on the Lucknow University website. “The last date for fresh form filling in UG, UG management and B.El.Ed. programs is August 17,” said Srivastava.

The last date for submission of forms for PG programs, B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed and M.Ed. was August 24, he added.

The last date for form submission in the 26 diploma, PG diploma and certificate programs was August 31, Srivastava said. Further details are available on the Lucknow University website.
