3 teachers from UP selected for national awards
LUCKNOW : Three teachers from Uttar Pradesh have been selected for the national award this year. The ministry of education, department of school education and literacy, constituted an independent jury at national level to select the awardees for 2020.
The selected teachers are Snehil Pandey, head teacher, Primary School Soharamau Nawabganj Unnao, Mohammed Ishrat Ali,head teacher, Primary School Rijwana, Mainpuri and Vikas Kumar, principal, SD Inter College Meerapur, Muzaffarnagar.

Snehil Pandey said, “I am happy to be selected for the national award 2020. All credit goes to my students, guardians, colleagues and family. During this pandemic and lockdown period, I ensured that regular teaching continued in my school.”
Mohammed Ishrat Ali was awarded for the innovation he introduced in classroom teaching. “It is like a dream come true. Happy that my hard work was recognised by the Government of India,” he said.
The independent jury reviewed the list of 153 teachers as shortlisted by all the 36 state and UT selection committees and seven organisation selection committees through video conferencing.
The Jury considered the applications and presentations made by all shortlisted teachers and after detailed deliberations, recommended the names of the 47 candidates for the national awards to teachers 2020.
