63 deaths, 4,677 fresh cases in UP
Corona tally mounts to 1,92,382, death toll near 3K mark
LUCKNOW The state’s Covid-19 tally went up to 1,92,382 on Monday with 4,677 fresh cases of infection, according to official data. The death toll rose to 2,987 with 63 more fatalities in the last 24 hours, the health department data showed.

Kanpur reported 13 deaths Lucknow five, Prayagraj and Ballia four each, Azamgarh three and Varanasi and Gorakhpur two each.
Among the fresh cases of Covid-19 infection, Lucknow once again topped the chart with 749 cases.
Kanpur reported 266 cases, Gorakhpur and Prayagraj 198 each, Moradabad 143, Aligarh 124, Saharanpur 118 and Varanasi 91.
Till now, 1,40,107 patients have been discharged while 49,288 active cases are under treatment. “UP’s recovery rate is 72.82%, as per the data. The recovery rate has improved in August.
On August 1, it was 57.64% when the number of recovered patients was 51,334,” said Dr
Abhishek Shukla, secretary general, Association of International Doctors.
Uttar Pradesh crossed the grim milestone of 1,000 cases April 20, which was 49 days after the first case was reported in the state on March 2.
The 2,000-mark came up on April 28 and 3,000 on May 8. The tally went past 4,000 cases on May 15; 5,000 cases on May 20 and 6,000 cases on May 23.
The total number of cases reached 7,000 on May 28 and 8,000 on May 31. On June 4, the state crossed the 9,000 mark. The total count was above 10,000 cases on June 6.
There were a total of 89,048 cases on August 1. On August 2, the tally went up to 92,921 and on August 4, it stood at 1,00,310. The tally was 1,04,388 on August 5 and 1,08,974 on August 6. On August 7, it stood at 1,13,378 and on August 8, the count rose to 1,18,038.
On August 9, the Covid-19 tally was 1,22,609 and it rose to 1,26,722 on August 10. There were a total of 1,31,763 cases on August 11. The number went up to 1,36,238 on August 12. There were 1,40, 775 cases on August
13. The tally increased to 1,45,287 on August 14 and 1,50,061 on August 15.
The Covid-19 count rose to 1,54,418 on August 16, increasing further to 1,58,216 on August 17 and then to 1,67,510 on August
19. It was 1,72,334 on August 20 and 1,77,239 on August 21. The tally rose further to 1,82,456 on August 22 and stood at 1,87,781 on August 23.
The state’s Covid-19 count was 1,92,382 on August 24.
TILL NOW, 1,40,107 PATIENTS HAVE BEEN DISCHARGED WHILE 49,288 ACTIVE CASES ARE UNDER TREATMENT.
