GOVT SCHOOLS TO GET TABLETS
LUCKNOW : Government primary and upper primary schools will be provided tablets to promote digital learning and ensure smooth online classes, announced basic education minister Satish Chand Dwivedi on Wednesday. Teachers will be duly trained and focus will be more on developing digital content, video lessons for students.
LUCKNOW Government primary and upper primary schools will be provided tablets to promote digital learning and ensure smooth online classes, announced basic education minister Satish Chand Dwivedi on Wednesday.
“In corona times, when schools are closed, the focus is on digital learning and online classes. Hence, it was decided to provide tablets to all government primary and upper primary schools in the state,” he said. Teachers will be duly trained and focus will be more on developing digital content, video lessons for students. Under the education for all scheme, the centre had allocated Rs 8609.62 crore to the state government, which will help strengthen infrastructure in government schools, he added. The minister said for the construction of new buildings in primary and upper primary schools, new furniture, etc, the centre had allocated Rs 488.61 crore. For maintenance, a sum of Rs 574 crore was sanctioned.
“An amount of Rs 927 crore was allocated for free distribution of school uniforms, Rs 532.57 crore for free books, Rs 145 crore for Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalay, Rs 19 crore for teachers’ training, Rs 57 crore for physically disabled children, Rs 10.24 crore for library and Rs 25.95 crore for self defence training of students,” he said.
