TRACE CONTACTS OF COVID PATIENTS IN 24 HOURS: YOGI

LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday started holding divisional meetings to review the Covid-19 situation and implementation of development projects. Saharanpur was in focus in the first such divisional meeting and Ayodhya will be taken up on Thursday. He also held a video conference to take stock of the Covid-19 situation in Lucknow and Kanpur Nagar, asking officials to conduct rapid antigen test of suspected cases in 12 hours, while those coming in contact with Covid-19 positive patients should be traced in 24 hours.

He also held a video conference to take stock of the Covid-19 situation in Lucknow and Kanpur Nagar, asking officials to conduct rapid antigen test of suspected cases in 12 hours, while those coming in contact with Covid-19 positive patients should be traced in 24 hours.
Yogi asked for strengthening the medical systems in Lucknow and Kanpur Nagar. He said a testing team should be attached with the team carrying out the door-to-door survey, he added.
“Yes, the chief minister has begun holding divisional level meetings to review all the aspects, including the Covid-19 situation and development work. He is reviewing the situation in Saharanpur division on Wednesday and is scheduled to hold a review of Ayodhya on Thursday,” said additional chief secretary (home and information) Awanish Kumar Awasthi when asked about the schedule for these review meetings.
As per the schedule, divisional commissioners will also make a presentation about the progress of development projects valued at more than Rs 50 crore in their divisions. The district magistrates will also make a presentation. The chief minister also asked officials to expedite the implementation of projects under the Smart City Mission and the Amrut (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) schemes.
Reviewing the Unlock-4 situation at a high-level meeting, Yogi reiterated his directive to conduct 1.50 lakh Covid-19 tests per day across the state.
He said the testing capacity in Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur districts should be increased. Ventilators and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) machines should remain functional in all the districts, he added.
The chief minister said a report in this regard should be made available to the state government.
He said availability of dialysis machines should be ensured in Covid-19 hospitals.
He also said 48-hour oxygen backup should be ensured in Covid and non-Covid hospitals.
Action should be taken against government employees not reporting for duty in time, the chief minister said.
