Green green, fairy queen! When you love a colour, you embrace it fully. Elizabeth Sweetheart, 77, is known as the Green Lady of Brooklyn! Wondering why? From her clothes, glass frames, fingernail­s, make-up to even her hair, all are bright green. Her house is green too! Green is the colour of absolute positivity and is refreshing, even on a rainy day.

Sweet delights

Actor Madhuri Dixit Nene posted a lovely video with husband Dr Shriram Nene, which shows their camaraderi­e and bonding over culinary expertise. Keeping alive the Indian traditions and customs, the actor shared a family recipe of Ukdiche Modak on the last day of the Ganpati festival. In the video, Dr Nene playfully asks where these modaks are made and the actor promptly replies, in Maharashtr­a. She conveys to her fans that all of us will miss the festivitie­s with friends and relatives but more than anything, we all will miss the food!

Innovation is the key to save nature

Everybody is doing their bit to preserve our environmen­t. Indian Forest Service officer, Parveen Kaswan, devised a novel way to increase the green cover and posted a visiting card, which when planted will grow into a basil plant. He thanked Wildlense, an eco foundation, for this initiative. Isn’t this just amazing!

Unconditio­nal love

This beautiful story might just make you teary-eyed! A rescue Australian shepherd mix dog, Georgia, lost her litter of puppies and was heartbroke­n. The Sunshine Dog Rescue, based in Phoenix, US, tried to calm her, but to no avail. Eventually, Georgia struck a chord with a trio of orphaned kittens and now has adopted them. They rightly say, a mother’s love knows no bounds!
