Lko reports 15 fatalities and 950 fresh cases
LUCKNOW : The state capital reported 950 new cases taking the Covid tally to 33,453 while 15 fresh fatalities took the death toll to 452.
Till now 24,358 patients have been discharged, including 852 on Monday, while 8,643 active cases were under treatment. During the day, 235 patients were allotted hospitals while 90 opted for home isolation. Samples of 6,125 people were taken under contact tracing exercise. Till now total 22,068 patients have opted for home isolation in Lucknow out of which 15,534 have recovered and 6,534 are still in home isolation.
On Monday cases were reported from Ashiana 40, Indira Nagar 48, Gomti Nagar 49, Alambagh 47, Thakurganj 29, Talkatora 31, Hasanganj 23, Hazratganj 31, Madiaun 37, Rae Bareli Road 37, Aliganj 38, Jankipuram 28, Mahanagar 33, Cantt 35, Chowk 29, Chinhat 37, Para 14, Naka 28, Sadatganj 27, Vikas Nagar 27, Krishnanagar 18 and Husainganj 17.
“Apart from Indira Nagar and Gomti Nagar that have been reporting high number of daily cases since over a week, Ashiana and Alambagh have also reported an increased number of fresh cases. These areas need increased contact tracing for early identification of cases,” said Dr Abhishek Shukla, secretary general, Association of International Doctors.
Among those who died of Covid-19 was a 70-year-old man from Azamgarh, a 22-year-old man from Bahraich, a 35-year-old man from Unnao and a 35-year-old woman from Sitapur. There are 62,144 active Covid-19 cases in UP while 2,05,731 patients have recovered from the disease. The recovery rate in the state stands at 75.67%. .
