Ensure uninterrup­ted supply of oxygen in hospitals, says CM

LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said an effective strategy should be worked out and implemente­d to strengthen the medical systems in Lucknow and Kanpur nagar districts to combat Covid-19.

He said health and medical education department should continue monitoring at every level to bring improvemen­t in the Covid recovery rate.

“Arrangemen­ts for uninterrup­ted supply of oxygen, along with back-up, should be made in government and private hospitals. Strict action should be taken against those indulging in black marketing of oxygen,” said Yogi while reviewing the Covid-19 situation at a high level meeting at his official residence here.

He said the state government’s strategy to fight Covid should be a step ahead and every stage of the fight should be strengthen­ed further from block to district headquarte­rs level. “As Covid-19 is a new disease, a special strategy is needed to fight the pandemic,” said the CM.

Yogi said the state government was making all arrangemen­ts to check spread of Covid-19. He said nodal officers in every district should keep the systems in Covid hospitals up to mark and contact tracing work should be done effectivel­y.

He said people should be informed about ways to strengthen immune system with the help of radio, TV and newspapers. He said there was factual informatio­n about developing immunity in the Indian traditiona­l system.

“The Ayurvedic system of medicine laid emphasis on boosting the immunity system,” said Yogi.
