‘Speed up process to fill vacancies in depts’
LUCKNOW: Expressing satisfaction over more than three lakh recruitments in government departments in the last three years, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday asked heads of various service selection boards and officers concerned to speed up the process to fill up the remaining vacancies in all the departments.
Yogi met the chairpersons of the service selection boards on Monday following his Friday’s announcement about filling up all vacant posts in all the government departments in the next six months.
He asked the chief secretary and the additional chief secretary (personnel) to prepare and present details of vacant posts in each department.
He held the meeting at his official residence to review recruitments.
Chairpersons of UP public Service Commission, UP Subordinate Service Selection Commission, UP Higher Education Service Commission, UP Madhyamik Shiksha Service Selection Board, UP Power Corporation Limited and UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board participated in the meeting.
He asked for the recruitment process to be done in a timebound manner.
A statement by the chief minister’s office said a total of 5,421 selections were under process under UPPSC, 35,019 under UP Subordinate Service Selection Commission, 290 under Higher Education Commission, 69,000 under basic shiksha department, 16,836 under police; and 853 under the UP Power Corporation Ltd.
