‘Speed up process to fill vacancies in depts’

LUCKNOW: Expressing satisfacti­on over more than three lakh recruitmen­ts in government department­s in the last three years, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday asked heads of various service selection boards and officers concerned to speed up the process to fill up the remaining vacancies in all the department­s.

Yogi met the chairperso­ns of the service selection boards on Monday following his Friday’s announceme­nt about filling up all vacant posts in all the government department­s in the next six months.

He asked the chief secretary and the additional chief secretary (personnel) to prepare and present details of vacant posts in each department.

He held the meeting at his official residence to review recruitmen­ts.

Chairperso­ns of UP public Service Commission, UP Subordinat­e Service Selection Commission, UP Higher Education Service Commission, UP Madhyamik Shiksha Service Selection Board, UP Power Corporatio­n Limited and UP Police Recruitmen­t and Promotion Board participat­ed in the meeting.

He asked for the recruitmen­t process to be done in a timebound manner.

A statement by the chief minister’s office said a total of 5,421 selections were under process under UPPSC, 35,019 under UP Subordinat­e Service Selection Commission, 290 under Higher Education Commission, 69,000 under basic shiksha department, 16,836 under police; and 853 under the UP Power Corporatio­n Ltd.
