About society, karma, love & changing attitudes
Inevitably, everyday life presents moments of laughter, sadness, anger, pity, joy, helplessness, and of struggle and regret that tend to get engrained on the psyche.
They may be too fleeting to talk about and one may not consciously think about them too, yet, these do colour one’s thinking and actions to an extent greater than one would like to accept. In a creative person, these seemingly unimportant moments have a far deeper impact and sprout forth in the form of paintings, sculpture, or poetry.
‘Beawaaz Ghazlein’ (unvoiced poetry) is one such outpouring from the sensitive heart of Manoj Agarwal ‘Chandwasia’, thoroughbred Lucknowite, though originally from Chandwas in Haryana. The 243 creations in this book – in the form of ghazals, rubaais and poetry – touch all the dimensions that one experiences from life’s struggles, from teenage to later stages of life.
The author – an alumnus of the prestigious St Francis’s College – has described his experiences, feelings, reality and the complex relationships of today’s times with truth and some humour. Respect for human life, his patriotic and humorous side, and the pain of losing someone, all are reflected in his writings.
Society, relationships, love, karma and changing attitudes, the reader will also experience the insight of the writer about such:
Harf-harf kahani to nahin ho sakta
Haadsa murjubani to nahin ho sakta
Kaid kya-kya karunga main tehreer mein
Chehre ki chamak aankhon ka pani to nahin ho sakta...
Despite the various upheavals of life, the spirit of not giving up and always reaching for the skies, just like the moon comes out from its different phases and glorifies the night: those come out as the traits of the author who writes under the pen name ‘Chand’. ‘Beawaz Ghazalein’ will not only introduce Manoj Agarwal Chand’s writings but also his character, thoughts and personality.
The 236-page book is now available at Universal Booksellers and online on Amazon, Flipkart, Google Play and Online Gatha.
