UP CABINET CLEARS NEW EXCISE POLICY, HOUSING SCHEME
LUCKNOW : The Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Friday approved a proposal to implement the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the industrial development authorities and the new excise policy for 2021-22.
UP’s industrial development authorities would make an assessment of the demand under the PM Awas Yojana and ensure availability of applications. In every scheme, 250 houses would be constructed and 35% of them would be for the economically weaker sections.
LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on Friday approved a proposal to implement the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the industrial development authorities and the new excise policy for 2021-22.
Uttar Pradesh’s industrial development authorities would make an assessment of the demand under the PM Awas Yojana and ensure availability of applications. In every scheme, 250 houses would be constructed and 35% of them would be for the economically weaker sections. The developer would get a subsidy of Rs 2.50 lakh that would include a sum of Rs 1.50 lakh from the Centre and Rs 1 lakh from the state government. A senior officer of the state government confirmed the state cabinet’s decision that met by circulation. No further details were available about the new excise policy for 2021-22.

Tenancy ordinance
The state cabinet approved draft of The Uttar Pradesh Regulation of Urban Premises Tenancy Ordinance, 2021 providing for mandatory agreement to be entered between the owners and the tenants. The ordinance would be sent to Raj Bhavan for approval and become law after getting the governor’s nod.
