NBW issued against Uttar Pradesh Cong president

AGRA A non-bailable warrant (NBW) has been issued on Friday, against state Congress president Ajay Kumar Lallu for his non-presence in a case, in a court of Agra. The Court has extended the interim bail of Congress leaders Pradeep Mathur and Vivek Bansal to January 13.

The matter relates to the incident that happened in September last year when the Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi had arranged for buses to ferry the migrant labourers otherwise moving amidst tough conditions. These buses were left stranded at UP and Rajasthan border and fleet was led by state president of Congress Ajay Kumar Lallu, former MLA from Mathura Pradeep Mathur and former MLC Vivek Bansal.

These three Congress leaders were granted interim bail and were released and now January 7 was fixed in the case for appearing in the court. State president of Congress Ajay Kumar Lallu did not turn up in the case but former MLA from Mathura Pradeep Mathur and former MLC Vivek Bansal were present in the Court.

The Court extended interim bail of former MLA from Mathura Pradeep Mathur and former MLC Vivek Bansal but did not allow extension of interim bail for state president of Congress Ajay Kumar Lallu who was not present in the Court although counsel for congress state president filed an applicatio­n along with medical certificat­e but Court of Special Judge (MP – MLA) Court in Agra issued a nonbailabl­e warrant against state president of Congress Ajay Kumar Lallu.
