‘Only the right history can show right path. India has a glorious history, which needs to be narrated to the younger gen’.
LUCKNOW: J Nandakumar, All India convenor of Prajnan Pravah, an offshoot of RSS, on Sunday said that history written by the British historians needed to be rewritten because it did not reflect the real India.
“Only the right history can show the right path to society. India has a glorious history, which needs to be narrated to the younger generation,” he said while speaking as a keynote speaker at the 25th foundation day celebrations of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU).
He said the University, established in the name of Babasaheb, is progressing every day and the entire varsity family deserves an appreciation. The fame and honour that Babasaheb achieved through his hard work is a difficult task for any ordinary person.
“Most people know Babasaheb only as the father of the Indian Constitution and for the upliftment of the downtrodden society, but his contribution to society is much more than this. He was a great economist, editor, linguist, lawmaker, philosopher, a great leader and a prominent personality. He was selfreliant and confident,” he said.
“Today our country is moving towards self-reliance and we have attracted many countries of the world by preparing a vaccine of Covid-19,” he said while talking about getting the right guidance for the progress of India.
The 25th foundation Day of BBAU, Lucknow was organized on the theme ‘Swadheenta se Swatantrata ki oar’. The programme commenced with ‘malyarpan’ and ‘pushpanjali’ on Babasaheb’s statue by the vice-chancellor Acharya Sanjay Singh.
In his presidential address, the VC said, “Many efforts are being made by the university to gain new dimensions in the field of education and also to be included in the list of leading universities.”
“We are considering many points like selecting students through CAT in management studies, starting new departments in the University and also in its satellite campus and how to do better in educational activities. We are also thinking about expanding in the field of defence education, research and development,” he said. VC urged the entire university family to work together and touch new heights.
On this occasion, the vicechancellor and other teaching and non-teaching staff planted saplings on the university premises.
Dr Prakash C Baratunia, chancellor of the University and chief guest on the occasion conveyed his message and congratulated everyone on the Foundation Day.
