LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath launched the digital directory and the app of the state information department in a programme organised in Gorakhpur on Thursday.
With this, all information related to public representatives, government departments and officials will now be easily accessible on mobile phones.
Speaking in the event, the CM said, “In the era of technology, we also need to change accordingly. It was only because of technology that all the schemes and benefits of the state government were made available to people during the Covid pandemic.” “Using technology, we can bring about comprehensive reforms in every field. The information department has taken an innovative initiative through the digital information diary and the app,” Yogi added.
Additional chief secretary, information and MSME, Navneet Sehgal said, “For the first time in the country, the information department of any state had prepared its digital directory. Being manual, the information directory was not available to everyone but from now on it will be easily accessible through the app.”
The chief minister also unveiled a special cover of the postal department. The special cover is dedicated to the memories of Mahant Avaidyanath, who was mahant of the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, and represented Gorakhpur in Lok Sabha for five terms.
“The effort of the postal department will help in carrying forward our heritage and tradition. This will also help our future generations to know about our ancestors,” Yogi said.
