‘HAR GHAR JAL’ SCHEME A PRIORITY: YOGI
LUCKNOW : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ scheme launched under the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ will be completed in a time bound manner. The piped drinking water schemes should run simultaneously, he said.
“The ‘Har Ghar Jal’ scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the priority of the state government. Water supply through pipe water schemes is essential for ease of living. Pure drinking water also helps in curing diseases,” he said.
Yogi was reviewing the ongoing projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the state in a meeting with Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at his official residence here today. Projects launched under ‘Namami Gange’ were also reviewed.
Shekhawat said a concrete strategy should be made to launch Jal Jeevan Mission simultaneously across the state. UTTAR PRADESH DAY Holding another review meeting with various departments, Adityanath directed officials to ensure ODOP women groups’ participation in the functions to be organized to observe the ‘Uttar Pradesh Day’ on January 24. He asked officials to complete all preparations for ‘UP Day’ on time.
The CM directed all heads of the department (HODs) to review the utilization of the budged that was allotted to their departments and give final shape to the budget for 2021-22 at as soon as possible. The CM said that under-construction medical colleges and universities under the government and the private sector must be made functional at the so that people could be benefitted from them.
