CM: INOCULATE FRONTLINE WORKERS NEXT
LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath said here on Friday that the vaccination of corona frontline workers would be carried out after the vaccination of health workers and the preparations for the next phase of vaccination should be made well in time. He also said vaccination of health workers should be completed in the state by February 5. Inoculation was carried out even on Friday and the remaining health workers should be vaccinated on February 4 and 5., he said. Yogi was reviewing the Covid-19 situation at a high-level meeting at his Lok Bhawan office here. He was informed that 2.95 lakh health workers had been vaccinated in Uttar Pradesh till now.
He said the Covid-19 vaccination should be carried out in accordance with the guidelines and order set by the union government. There was need to maintain strict vigil against Covid-19 though the rate of infection had come down considerably in the state, he said, adding the people should be educated about measures for protection against Covid-19. Yogi said the people should be informed about mandatory use of mask and social distancing. He said various means of publicity and public address system should be used to educate the people.
Covid-19 testing should be carried out to the optimum, he said, adding contact tracing, surveillance system and integrated command and control centres should remain effectively functional. He said arrangements made in Covid-19 hospitals should also remain up to the mark.
