UP univs, colleges to function normally from Feb 15
LUCKNOW : All universities, degree colleges and other educational institutions of higher learning across the state will function normally from February 15. These institutions were reopened with restrictions on November 23. Through a letter, issued to director, higher education and vice chancellors of universities, the state government has directed them to allow normal functioning of their institutions from February 15 while following Covid guidelines, which include wearing of masks by students, proper sanitisation and making adequate arrangements for thermal scanners.

Through a letter, issued to director, higher education and vice chancellors of universities, the state government has directed them to allow normal functioning of their institutions from February 15 while following Covid guidelines, which include wearing of masks by students, proper sanitisation, making adequate arrangements for thermal scanners, hand sanitisers and first aid kits.
The govt has suggested alternate methods for attendance, in place of biometric attendance, to rule out possibility of any direct contact of students. The institutions have been advised to avoid overcrowding on the campus. It has also been suggested to form student-staff committees to ensure that Covid protocol is followed by all on the campus. The government has also directed following of Covid protocol in hostels. It will appoint a nodal officer to ensure that Covid guidelines are followed by students, teachers and staff.
