Now, LU graduate courses’ syllabus as per NEP-2020
LUCKNOW: The Lucknow University administration has decided to change the existing syllabus of all the 70 graduate courses as per the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, said university officials.
The NEP-2020 cleared by the central government in 2019 is being implemented in state universities and colleges from the coming academic year, as per the directions of the state government.
“The new education policy includes various elements to make studies job-oriented. This is being kept in mind in the new syllabus, “said vice chancellor of Lucknow University Alok Kumar Rai.
The new syllabus which is to be implemented was developed under a committee formed by the higher education department of the state.
“The new syllabus under NEP-2020 will include aided courses along with regular ones. This will allow students to take inter-departmental courses with ease.
The new system will allow them to take PG Diploma after one year and enroll in a new course or in other degree course. The students will also be free to get into a job while halting their studies briefly,” said the VC.
The new syllabus will also be introduced in all the colleges affiliated with the university. The Lucknow University administration has asked all heads of departments to look into the common syllabus suggested by the state government and submit their suggestions, if any, on the officials website of the higher education department.
