Deadline linked to last digit of registration No.
LUCKNOW : The state government has issued a timetable fixing deadline for the fitment of high security registration plates (HSRPs) and colourcoded stickers on all private and commercial vehicles registered in Uttar Pradesh.
In a bid to avoid rush, the government has fixed deadlines for vehicles, depending on the last digit of their registration. “Depending on their last digit, private or personal vehicles have time up to July 15, 2022 to get the HSRP fixed,” said Dheeraj Sahu, transport commissioner, adding, “HSRPs can be booked online.” Colourcoded sticker is a part of the HSRP.
As per the timetable, all private vehicles registered in the National Capital Region (NCR) and all commercial vehicles registered anywhere in the state have been given time till April 15, 2021 to install HSRP.
July 15 has been fixed as the deadline for all private vehicles registered in any district of the state and having registration number ending with 0 or 1. Private vehicles with 2 or 3 in the end of their registration number have been given time up to October 15.
The deadline for private vehicles with other last digits will be in year 2022. Thus, all private vehicles whose registration ends in 4, 5 have January
15, 2022 as the last date for installation of HSRP while April 15, 2022 is the deadline for all private vehicles having 6, 7 in the end.
July 15, 2022 would be the deadline for vehicles with 8, 9 in the end of their registration.
Sahu said penal action against vehicles would be taken if they miss the deadline. People could place order for the HSRP online using https:// www.siam.in link that would also show the rates of plates.
He said vendors have the liberty to make doorstep delivery of HSRPs depending on mutual understanding between them and customers.
