Yogi asks Ayush teams to do tele-consultation
Inspire people to adopt Yoga. says CM
LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday asked for teams of Ayush (Ayurveda, yoga, siddha, Unani and homeopathy) practitioners in all districts to spread awareness about health and immunity-boosting steps related to Covid-19.
He also asked them to do teleconsultation.
Calling yoga a boon for health, Yogi asked them to inspire people to include it in their lifestyle for physical and mental health.
The chief minister said this at a video conference with Ayush practitioners statewide. In the first wave,
Ayush, practitioners had played an important role in spreading awareness about immunity-boosting through traditional methods and the Ayush Kawach app was prepared, he said.
Simple home remedies had played a significant role in health and fitness, he recalled, adding that Ayush Kadha (herbal medicinal concoction) was distributed door to door. “Now, it is time to repeat all that,” he said.
Yogi asked these practitioners to use the network of Nigrani Samitis as those who were in quarantine would need their consultation.
Directive to double ICU, HCU beds
The chief minister directed officials to double the number of ICU (intensive care unit) and HCU (high care unit) beds at all the Level-2 and 3 (L-2 and L-3) hospitals in high-Covid load districts, said the state government in a statement.“All these beds must have oxygen supply,” he said as quoted in the statement. In addition, he asked officials to increase as many as 1,500 to 2,000 beds in the state capital in the coming week.
A statement quoting the Lucknow district magistrate Abhishek Prakash said: “Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), in collaboration with the state government, will set up a 255-bed
L-2, L-3 temporary Covid hospital at the Haj House, for which the preparations are underway. And more than 100 Covid beds will also be added in the Super Speciality Cancer Hospital, Chak Ganjaria City (CG City).”Yogi said that the state currently has more than 1,16,000 L-1 beds and over 65,000 L-2 and L-3 beds in the state. Besides, a total of 5,500 beds are currently functional in the state capital.The CM also asked the chief minister’s office, the chief secretary’s office, the additional chief secretary (health) and the principal secretary (medical education) to regularly monitor the arrangements.The state government said 2,400 beds were increased in the last two months.
