AKTU NOMINATED TO COLLECT INFO ON O2 USE BY 8 LKO MEDICAL FACILITIES
LUCKNOW : Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has been nominated as the nodal university for oxygen audit by the state government.
“AKTU has been nominated for compiling information and oxygen audit regarding oxygen supply and consumption of eight government and private medical institutions of Lucknow.
AKTU will collect information regarding oxygen supply and consumption of all these institutions daily and make them available to IIT-Kanpur,” said AKTU vice chancellor prof Vinay Kumar Pathak.
These eight institutions include SGPGIMS, RMLIMS, KGMU, Era Medical College, Career Medical College, Integral Medical Institute, Prasad Medical Institute and TSM Medical Institute.
Pathak said associate professor, centre for advanced studies, AKTU, Dr Anuj Kumar Sharma and assistant professor, institute of engineering and technology (IET), Dr Pawan Kumar Tiwari had been named as nodal officers for compiling information in this regard.
On April 24, chief minister had said the state government will conduct oxygen audit with the assistance of IIT- Kanpur, IIM-Lucknow and IIT-Banaras Hindu University.
Hackathon to suggest ways to control oxygen wastage, leakage
AKTU is going to organise a hackathon to control the waste and leakage of medical oxygen. Anuj Sharma, assistant professor of centre for advanced studies of the university, said the university has invited innovative ideas on the problems identified.
