DM inspects anti-Covid drive in BKT villages
LUCKNOW: District magistrate Abhishek Prakash on Wednesday inspected the ongoing antiCovid exercises in villages under Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT) block of the state capital.
The DM not only reviewed the functioning of the Nigrani Samities and Rapid Response Teams (RRT), but also interacted with the Covid-19 patients under home isolation to ensure that they may not face any problem. He directed complete sanitisation of villages and distribution of medical kits among the villagers.
Sadamau was the first village where the DM visited a primary school to check the ongoing vaccination. The DM interacted with the staff and local people and motivated them for taking the jab.
He also held a meeting with the ANM and Nigrani Samities and lend a year to their issues. He directed them to focus on tracing, testing and treatment. He also felicitated an Asha worker, Munni Devi, for carrying out the anti-Covid drive effectively in her area and announced Rs 5000 reward for her.
Rajapur Induara village was next to witness the DM’s inspection where he interacted with the Covid patients under home isolation and directed the officials to make them available medical kits. Here too, he felicitated another Asha worker, Rajeshwari Devi, for her spontaneous efforts.
This was followed by Pahadpur where DM enquired about the ongoing surveillance activity and held a meeting with the Nigrani Samities and RRT teams and directed them to ensure testing and distribution of medicines on large scale.
He said that the teams were covering 100 percent households and also carrying out the door-to-door survey to ensure no one was suffering from Covid infection.
