Govt issues guidelines for transfer of ₹1K to daily wagers, others
LUCKNOW: The state government on Thursday issued directives to all divisional commissioners, district magistrates and senior administrative officials concerned for transfer of Rs 1000 into bank accounts of registered vendors, daily wage labourers, porters, boatmen, barbers, washermen, rickshaw pullers and other beneficiaries.
Chief secretary RK Tewari asked officials to collect the data of all beneficiaries and ensure it was updated on the website rahat.up.nic.in.
The data must have all details of beneficiaries, including name, father’s name, address, vocation and place, mobile number, bank account number and IFSC code and details of an identity card.
Tewari has instructed officials to feed these details on the website in the next 15 days so that Rs 1000 could be directly transferred into bank accounts of beneficiaries.
The government has also constituted a committee at the district level under the district magistrate to accomplish the task. The committee will have chief development officer as member secretary and several other officials, including municipal commissioner.
In rural areas, zila panchayati raj adhikari will be nodal officer for collection of data.
In addition to the financial assistance, the state government has decided to provide three months ration to all beneficiaries.
The government has decided to provide financial assistance to these beneficiaries as due to Covid-19 pandemic most of them are without work.
The beneficiaries
Vendors, daily wage labourers, porters, boatmen, barbers, washermen, rickshaw pullers, e-rickshaw drivers, confectioner (who do not come under purview of GST) and other beneficiaries.
