LU gets a dose of fun & positivity

To spread positivity among the students in these critical times the Cultural Board of University of Lucknow- Sanskritiki organised a five-day online cultural event Festastic-2021 that concluded recently.

The event saw a large number of enthusiastic participation from various disciplines, departments and other affiliated colleges.

The opening day began with a singing contest along with a jamming session. Students participated with great enthusiasm and the made the atmosphere all happy and musical.

The second day had Kavyanjali (poetry recitation) with more than 200 participants. Prof Rakesh Chandra (director, Sanskritiki) and Prof Poonam Tandon opened the event with encouraging words. Later, Ayush Shukla, student coordinator carried on the event. The event was anchored by Ayush Tripathi and Divya Tiwari with much positivity.

Juhi Tiwari emerged as a winner followed by Jay Singh while third position was shared between Shivanshu Trivedi and Abhishek Anang Mishra. Other events that were held during the event were poster making, photography and quiz contest.

In poster making contest Shivani Singh stood first; Abhijeet Kumar and Anshika Shukla shared second position while in photography Neha Pandey was declared the winner. The quizz competition was won by Ritika Srivastav followed by Kriti and Samarth and Ishita Mishra. Day four was all about monologue acts and story writing where the last day saw dance performances.

A number of Covid-19 surviours as well as those recovering too joined the event. All those who were present at the event appreciated the work of the organising committee.

Kumar Rai praised all the participants, organising teams and encouraged all to live through the pandemic with positive mindset and growth. The closing day of event saw the presence of Prof.Nishi Pandey as she praised and motivated all the students attending the online fest.
