Implement Ayodhya vision document at earliest: CM
LUCKNOW: Chief minster Yogi Adityanath on Saturday reviewed a vision document on Ayodhya, its implementation plan and an integrated development plan for the temple town.
During the presentation, Adityanath instructed officials to implement the vision document at the earliest with some amendments suggested by him.
The chief minister instructed officials to resolve all issues related with land acquisition for development work through a dialogue with the affected persons.
He also instructed officials to prepare a housing policy for the affected persons and apprise them of the state government’s rehabilitation policy.
Officials apprised the chief minister about progress of the Shri Ram International airport project, a greenfield township, tourist facilitation centre, international museum, smart road, riverfront development and other projects earmarked for Ayodhya.
Adityanath asked officials to make adequate facilities for pilgrims on the routes of the panch kosi (about 15 km), 14 kosi (40 km) and 84 kosi (250 km) parikramas of Ayodhya.
He also directed the officials to complete all projects in a timebound manner.
Officials should identify land in Ayodhya for the construction of guesthouses for saints of various sects, he said. He instructed officials to construct a multilevel parking facility in view of the arrival of devotees in Ayodhya in large numbers daily.
All ghats of Ayodhya should be renovated, he added.
In a bid to connect the pilgrim town with the rest of the country, the Narendra Modi government at the Centre has already approved a Rs 100-crore modernisation plan for the Ayodhya railway station.
Temple construction panel chief reaches Ayodhya
Ram temple construction committee chairman Nripendra Misra reached Ayodhya on Saturday evening.
He will remain there for the next two days to review the ongoing foundation work of the temple.
