New industrial area to expedite Ayodhya’s development plan
LUCKNOW : Development plan of Ayodhya is all set to gain pace with the new industrial area on the Lucknow – Gorakhpur highway. The proposed industrial area will come up next to the two existing industrial areas on this highway. The proposal has also been included in Ayodhya’s Master Plan 2031.
After the state government’s nod to the Master Plan 2031, the exact size of the new industrial area will be ascertained.
According to Ayodhya Development Authority officials, the new industrial area will be between 50 acres to 100 acres.
For the past two years, UPSIDC has been trying to purchase land to set up a new industrial area in Ayodhya, but to no avail. At the investor’s summit organised by the state government in February 2018 in Lucknow, demand was made for a new industrial area in Ayodhya.
According to ADA vice chairman Vishal Singh, the new industrial area will come up next to the existing industrial areas.
Projects to be executed by ADA
The state government has approved around 114 development projects for Ayodhya. All these have been incorporated in the Master Plan 2031.
The bus terminal in Ayodhya,
two more bus terminals on the highway, Maryada Purshottam Sriram Airport, Green Township and medical college are all part of Ayodhya’s development plan.
Vision document
The Vision document is in addition to the development projects to be executed by the Ayodhya Development Authority.
LEA Associates South Asia Private Limited has prepared the Ayodhya vision document with the help of the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA). The LEA Associates is an international consultant hired by the state government for preparing Ayodhya’s vision document for the overall development of the temple town.
The development plan has incorporated 18 big projects. Apart from this, the vision document also includes creation of employment opportunities, branding of local products, and promotion of religious tourism.
