STF arrests Delhi-based ‘doctor-trickster’

LUCKNOW: A neurosurge­on, Dr Altmash Hussain, 36, was arrested from New Delhi by UP special task force (STF) on Tuesday in connection with a fraud committed with multiple people in Sitapur by assuring them jobs in different hospitals and different posts of health department­s, said senior police officials here on Wednesday.

The STF press note stated Dr Hussain is a resident of Deoria and completed his MBBS studies at King George’s Medical University (KGMU) in 2010-11. He later did his diploma in neurology from Vivekanand Hospital. He was earlier arrested in a similar case registered in New Delhi on June 19, 2021, and was out on bail these days.

The STF arrested him in a separate case of fraud and forgery for cheating at least 19 people of ₹73 lakh on December 7, 2020. Earlier, he had started Hayat hospital in Deoria, where he started this racket of making money by assuring jobs to people.

Lko police launches crime and accident app

The Lucknow police, on Wednesday, launched a crime and accident app to analyse crime incidents and take preventive measures. Lucknow’s Commission­er of Police launched this applicatio­n.

The press note from Lucknow police stated that the mapping of all crime incidents would be available on this applicatio­n. The crime incidents will be mapped area-wise as well as gang-wise with complete details of the case. The area-wise mapping of crime and criminals will also be available on it.

The press note further stated that the applicatio­n would provide all informatio­n about the type of crimes in different areas and the modus-operandi of criminals as well as the location and status of criminals will also be available on the applicatio­n.

It further read that the applicatio­n will help derive preventive and precaution­ary measures for road accidents by analysing accident-prone areas and timings of accidents.
