Social security our top priority, says CM
Stories of freedom fighters and heroes should be incorporated in syllabi of madarsa education, says Yogi
LUCKNOW:: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said safety and security was the top priority of his government and that CCTV cameras should be installed at all women and childcare homes.
Viewing the presentation of different departments of the social welfare sector, Yogi directed launching of a mobile app for education in UP madarsas in 100 days.
He said stories of freedom fighters and heroes should be incorporated in syllabi madarsa education.
He directed transferring funds of social security pension, Mukhyanatri Kanya Sumangala Yojana and Bal Seva Yojana to bank accounts of those eligible for quarterly instalments.
He said necessary amendments should be made to guidelines of sumangala scheme for its smooth implementation and making it more effective.
He said special camps should be organised at block levels to connect eligible persons with schemes. He said one-stop centres should be developed as hub for various activities for women to provide economic assistance, skill training and opportunities for self-employment to women under one roof.
He said state government
was committed to increase the amount of assistance under Mukhyamantri Samajik Vivah Yojana from Rs 51,000 to Rs 1 lakh and directed that necessary arrangements be made for about the same.
He said the state government’s efforts should be to formulate effective policies on issues concerning women and children and providing opportunities for their development with better implementation of programmes. The state government was working with full commitment for women’s empowerment and nutrition of children.
He said at least one women protection home and women shelter home should be developed on a priority basis in every divisional headquarter.
Yogi said next phase of Mission Shakti should be taken to village panchayat levels.
He said physical inspection review should be conducted of projects released under Pradhanmantri Jan Vikas Yojana. He said there was a need for verification of data regarding registered labourers.
The chief minister said the state government increased three-fold the amount spent on social security pension. He said
this gives strength to destitute women, old and disabled persons.
He said Bal Seva Yojana gave good results about education, security and livelihood of children who lost their parents during Covid pandemic.
He said laptops should be given under Bal Seva Yojana to eligible students studying in ninth standard or above. He said a portal should be developed for implementation and monitoring of the yojana (Covid and general).
He said juvenile boards, child care institutions and child welfare societies should also launch portals in next 100 days.
He said Kinnar Kalyan Boards (eunuch welfare boards) were set up during his government’s previous tenure. He said an old age home should be set up for such persons and they should be identified and given identity card in next 100 days.
He said construction of Sant Ravidas Ashram Padyati Schools should be completed soon.
He said Abhyudya scheme for preparing the youth for competitive exams be expanded from divisional to district levels. He said special campaigns be launched to check under-measurement at petrol pumps.
