India can claim No 1 spot with 4-0 win over WI

India can upstage Australia as the No 1 Test side if they defeat West Indies 4-0 in the current series. If India sweep the series and the England-Pakistan series is drawn and Sri Lanka defeat Australia 1-0 or better, then India will jump to No 1, an ICC statement said. To stay ahead, Australia will have to beat hosts Sri Lanka 1-0 or better and hope England win at least one Test against Pakistan, which they have done. Australia captain Steve Smith was presented the ICC Test Championship mace and $1 million prize money for the team being No 1 on the April 1 cut-off date.
