-

Urban development minister Sudhir Sharma on Saturday hit back at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) spokesperson and said that “no one was above the law and if the state cricket body is found to have done an encroachment, it will be vacated”.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of a function at Dharamshala, Sharma said he was not opposed to any game but it doesn’t mean that any sports body has the got a license to flout norms under the guise of carrying out its activities.

Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association spokesperson Sanjay Sharma had alleged that Dharamshala municipal corporation was harassing the cricket body at chief minister Virbhadra Singh’s behest and minister Sudhir Sharma by levelling false charges of encroachment near its fivestar hotel “The Pavilion” located at Kandi village near Dharamshala town. Dharamshala civic body, on the basis of a complaint by residents of Kandi village, had recently passed a resolution seeking the administration to carry out demarcation of the HPCA land where hotel “The Pavilion” stood.
