Didn’t attack BJP’s policy: RSS leader

A day after he lamented that the government has failed to attend to the issue of farmers’ suicides, RSS ideologue Dattatreya Hosabale sought to clarify his stance on Saturday, saying he was making the reference to the previous UPA regime.

“I questioned the economic policy of pursued by previous governments. How can the present government be responsible for farmers’ suicide?” he said.

Addressing an economic conclave on Friday, Hosabale had parsed the economic policies followed so far and said the government’s response to famer suicides in the past decade was not enough.
