KERALA BOY TURNS FATHER AT 14; TEEN MOTHER BOOKED

: A 14-year-old boy from Kerala has become a father, after begetting a child with a woman four years older than him, in Kochi, about 200 km from here. Paternity tests conducted on the Class 8 student has confirmed that he is the father of a two-month-old girl, police said on Friday. The 18-year-old girl, is the boy’s first cousin. The girl had alleged that she had been raped by the boy following which a case was registered against him. However, when questioned, the boy had blamed the girl for the relationship and a case has been registered against her, under section 7 (sexual assault) and 8 (not less than 3 years which may extend to 5 years and fine) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
