Anurag has links with drug mafia in Punjab: Vikramaditya
HIMACHAL YOUTH CONGRESS CHIEF’S ALLEGATION COMES AFTER HAMIRPUR MP’S FATHER DHUMAL SPOKE OF ‘MAFIA RAJ’ IN THE HILL STATE
:At time when chief minister Virbhadra Singh and former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal are indulging in a blame game over ‘mafias’, state youth Congress president Vikramaditya Singh on Sunday accused Hamirpur Lok Sabha member Anurag Thakur of having links with drug mafias of Punjab.
Vikramaditya Singh, while addressing media persons, said former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal is making frivolous allegation of ‘Mafias raj’ in Himachal Pradesh. “They had sheltered the mafia during their regime,” he said.
On the issue of drug menace, he said the state government has initiated various steps. “The former chief minister is accusing Congress of sheltering the drug mafia while the reality is that his son Anurag Thakur has links with drug mafia of Punjab,” he said, while showing video clips depicting pictures of Anurag and alleged ‘drug mafia’ Gursher Singh Pannu.
Vikramaditya Singh accused former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal of taking money from industrialists for permission under section 118 of land tenancy act. “I am in touch of such people who paid the money and will expose the culprits at right time,” he said. Hitting out at the former chief minister, he said Dhumal is losing control over the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and to justify his significance, he is resorting to levelling unsubstantial allegations.
He also challenged former chief minister and entire Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that he would hold a rally at Sarkaghat and that would be bigger than BJP’s last one. “Dhumal ji organised a rally in Sarkaghat and I will hold a rally tomorrow (Monday). I bet our rally will be bigger than Dhumal Ji’s.” he added.
The chief minister’s son added that Dhumal and other BJP have been accusing Congress government because they are running short of issues. “Levelling false allegation won’t work in Himachal Pradesh,” he said.
On the issue of the second capital, he said the chief minister had made it clear that the second capital would not be administrative. “BJP is politicising the issue but the Congress will get a political dividend out of it,” he added.
