BKI OPERATIVE ARRESTED

Police with the help of counter intelligence wing have arrested an alleged Babbar Khalsa terrorist and recovered a country-made pistol and cartridges from him. The police said the accused was trying to form a group to execute terror activities and some politicians were on his target.

The accused, Manjinder Singh alias Nikka of Patiala, was produced before a court on Monday and sent to two-day police custody. Nikka was arrested from Kakowal road on Sunday on a tip-off from counter intelligence. Police declined to share the details regarding politicians he wanted to harm.

He has been booked under Sections 10, 11 and 13 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and Section 25 of Arms Act. Uttar Pradesh policehad nabbed another suspect from Phillaur four days ago. HTC
