: Rubbishing the allegations levelled by former Akali minister Bikram Singh Majithia, Majitha Congress candidate and party’s general secretary Sukhjinder Raj Singh Lali Majithia said that the meeting of the additional director general of police, law and order, (ADGP) Rohit Chowdhary in Majitha on Saturday was an administrative issue and the Congress had nothing to do with the meeting.

It was the police that decided on the invitees and it is totally baseless that only Congressmen were invited to the meeting, he said.

“Even I was not invited to that meeting. Bikram Majithia is just trying to give a political colour to the matter and there is no truth in his allegations,” he said.

Talking about the protest against Majithia said, “It was the people, who protested and vented their anger,” he added. Lali Majithia, who accused Bikram Majithia of high-headedness and committing atrocities in the constituency during the SAD-BJP regime, said, “Today, Majithia is worried about a Dalit family. Many Dalit families that were ill treated by SAD workers during the past ten years.”

On a question about the family of Dalit Kashmir Singh, Lali Majithia said that already the state SC commission was looking into the matter and he will not comment on this.
