Punjab youths allegedly killed a Pakistani man during a brawl over bootlegging in Al Ain and are in jail since jail since July 2015 Eleven men were convicted in the case in October 2016 but one was spared the death sentence

Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust deposited the blood money following which the convicts will serve jail terms ranging from one to 3.5 years While five convicts will soon be able to return home, the remaining will be released by year-end or early 2018 after serving their sentences
