16yrold girl ends life in Jalandhar

JALANDHAR: A 16-year-old girl, Pooja, of New Sheetal Nagar committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her home on Friday. She was studying at the local DAV College. Her sister, Rinki, told the police that her parents had gone to Faizabad to attend a marriage while she had gone to college. She came back to find Pooja’s body hanging from a fan. She called her neighbourers, who informed the police. SHO Navdeep Singh said that no suicide note has been recovered. The body has been sent to civil hospital for postmortem. No case has been registered as the victim’s parents are not in town.
