Himachal BJP smells a rat in transfer of two officials

Days after Kangra Central Cooperative Bank (KCCB) managing director Rakhil Kahlon and Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBoSE) secretary Vishal Sharma were transferred in an administrative reshuffle, former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) minister Kishan Kapoor has alleged that the officials were transferred deliberately.

“We have learnt that the two were transferred on the behest of bank’s chairman after they refused to conduct screening exam for recruitments in the KCCB,” claimed Kapoor. “Bank chairman wanted to conduct the recruitment through HPBoSE so that the screening exam can be rigged to give appointment to Congress leaders’ kin,” he said.

The former minister said recruitments done by KCCB last year through the HPBoSE had come under scanner and the matter also went to the court.

“Some candidates had accused that people, who hadn’t even appeared in the exam, were declared passed and were given appointment,” Kapoor alleged.

The BJP leader further said if the BJP forms the government in upcoming election, an inquiry will be conducted in the recruitments in the KCC Bank.

Meanwhile, Kapoor also demanded an impartial probe against the industry department joint secretary Tilak Raj Sharma, who was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) while accepting bribe.

“If something wrong happened during BJP government, it should be also probed,” said Kapoor, who held the industry portfolio during the BJP regime.

He said Union MoS for highways Mansukh Lal Mandaviya will arrive in Dharamshala on June 6 to attend the function to celebrate three years of the BJPled Central government.
