Now, ‘cat man’ chops off hair of 12-year-old girl

LUDHIANA: A 12-year-old Ludhiana girl has claimed that a “cat man” chopped off her hair while she was sleeping at her house on Monday.

The girl, Neetu, of Nirmal Nagar in the Dugri area of Ludhiana, said she saw a “cat man” on her cot and found her hair chopped around 4pm. She raised the alarm following which her parents and neighbours rushed to the room where she was sleeping. The police also reached the spot and started investigat­ion.

The girl’s father, Suman Prasad, said he was at a grocery shop near his house when the incident took place.

Station house officer Dalbir Singh said the police questioned the area residents, but nobody saw a “cat-like man” as claimed buy the girl.

On Saturday, Zeenath of Guru Gobind Singh Nagar in the city also claimed that a “cat man” chopped off her hair when she was playing with her 3-year-old son.

13-YR-OLD GIRL TARGETED IN FARIDKOT

FARIDKOT:: In another incident of braid-chopping, a 13-year-old girl was targeted by unidentifi­ed persons in Faridkot on Monday.

Police said Hina of Dogar Basti had gone to take shower and when she came out, she realised that her braid was chopped.

Her father, Satpal Singh, who is a taxi driver, said his daughter started screaming when she came out of the washroom around 11am. The girl had no idea how her hair was chopped.

The police have started investigat­ion.

BOY’S HAIR CHOPPED OFF IN SLEEP

TARN TARAN : A 14-year-old Sikh boy’s hair was chopped off when he was sleeping in his house at Pandoori Gola village, 5km from Tarn Taran, on Sunday night.

The boy’s father Gurjit Singh said: “We slept at around midnight and when we woke up, around 6 am on Monday, my son Dilbag Singh noticed that his hair was chopped off,” he added.
