FATEHABAD: All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) national president Yashpal Malik on Friday alleged that Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s chief Subhash Barala was behind the attack on Jat leaders during the bhaichara rally held in Samain village on August 14.

Addressing a maha panchayat at the grain market in Fatehabad on Friday, Malik said, “Sube Singh Samain and his men attacked us on the directions of Subhash Barala. We have asked the government for CBI inquiry against Barala in the matter. ”

He also demanded action against deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Samsher Dahiya and station house officer (SHO) of Tohana sadar, Pradeep Sheoran, for “not taking timely action” when a Sube Singh and his men allegedly attacked Malik and his supporters.

“We have personally identified 36 persons who attacked us and handed over the details to Fatehabad superintendent of police (SP) Kuldeep Singh. We want the accused to be arrested as soon as possible. I have told all my workers to not get personally involved in the matter as the police will arrest the accused soon,” Yashpal Malik added. Malik also said that he had recently met Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar to discuss the matter and requested him to take action against BJP chief Subhash Barala.

“The CM asked us to provide proof against Barala. We have the proof recorded on a CD, which we will provide to the CM soon,” Malik said.

He also said that earlier the AIJASS had decided to hold a bhaichara rally in Jhajjar on August 27, but now they will change the name of the rally and call it an Aakrosh rally (anger rally) after discussing with other AIJASS leaders.
