Cabinet meeting: Discretionary grant of Haryana ministers hiked
Decision taken in view of rising costs and to increase development pace
The Haryana cabinet on Wednesday approved to increase the limit of discretionary grant of cabinet ministers, ministers of state, speaker and deputy speaker of the state assembly.
An official spokesperson said the decision was taken in view of the rising costs and to increase the pace of community development works.
The limit of discretionary grant of assembly speaker and cabinet ministers has been increased to Rs 7 crore per annum from Rs 5 crore per annum.
Similarly, discretionary grant in respect of deputy speaker and ministers of state has been enhanced to Rs 5.5 crore from Rs 4 crore.
The limit of discretionary grant for chief minister stays at Rs 40 crore.
PLUG-AND-PLAY MODEL APPROVED FOR INDUSTRIES
The cabinet also approved plugand-play model for setting up industries in the state. The model will help the small and medium enterprises who do not want to go through the whole process of land acquisition and building factories.
The policy focuses on providing new options to boost the manufacturing in the state and to introduce cluster development.
The plug and play model will be operated on lease hold basis on a part of such colony.
GROUP HOUSING POLICY
The cabinet also decided to increase the 10-acre limit to 15-acre to grant licence in a sector across all cities under the affordable group housing policy and to give boost to the Prime Minister Awas Yojna in the state.
In case, more than one eligible application for this additional area is received in any sector, then draw of lots will decide as to whom to grant the license.
AID TO ACCIDENT VICTIMS
The cabinet also approved a new scheme, ‘Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Durghtana Sahayta Yojana, with effect from April 1. The scope of coverage under the new scheme will be limited to Haryana domiciles and bonafide residents of the state, who were not able to avail the benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) whether due to non-enrolment or otherwise. The benefit admissible under the new scheme will be Rs one lakh.
